GHS ONLINE SUPPORT

This website allows contact among students and teachers in different subject areas at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Girls' High School. It will allow an online interface to exist whereby students can access materials for their subject areas. These will include past papers, notes, assignments, discussions and SBAs. The site will allow technology to be used in the teaching and learning processes.

TEAMWORK

Through this interface, students will have the opportunity to discuss and learn from each other by the use of their computers and other devices. Learning will become more fun and the use of blogs to foster discussions will be skillfully applied such that group efforts can be made when sorting through subject materials. The use of this site will also serve to cut back on administrative time as far as issuing SBAs, assignments and notes leaving more explanatory time during classes. Similarly greater understanding is hoped for and overall an improvement in students work. Our objectives are aimed at:

Improving the standard of education provided.
Allowing more time for explanation of instruction given strict time schedules during classroom and laboratory settings.
Allowing a link among students and their peers fostering teamwork.
Allowing a link among students and teachers allowing efficiency in education.
Allowing parents to be aware of students work in various subject areas.
Allowing parents and students opportunities to contact teachers via the world wide web.
Making learning fun, less stressful and more constructive.
